Q. How much does the band cost?
Please contact Billy (0141 956 2990) for a quote you’ll find extremely competitive! We are the least expensive band at the SECC Bridal Fayre but not at the expense of quality!

Q. Can we see the band before we book?
Yes, please watch our online videos. We also have SHOWCASES that take place after the SECC Bridal Fayres in February and October. We can also get permission from couples whose weddings we are entertaining at for you to have a ‘look and listen.’ They tend to be very accommodating as they have had to ‘check out’ bands themselves. Please get in touch to arrange a viewing at a suitable venue.

Q. How many people are in the band and what instruments do you play?
The Billy McIsaac Band is a three piece band with:
BILLY - keyboards and vocals
GORDON – sax, keyboards and vocals
MELANIE – vocals
If you require a large amount of Ceilidh music I would include an accordionist in our line up.

Q. Can we choose the first dance?
We are happy to learn any song for your first dance provided you give us one months notice, although it should be understood that some songs can be problematic. In this event we would suggest that you provide a CD with your song on it.

Q. What type of music do you play?
We play music to suit all ages and all tastes. This could be anything from Sinatra to current chart music with 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and Ceilidh music thrown in for good measure. I am happy to call the Ceilidh dances if necessary.

Q. What time do you arrive at the venue?
We arrive 1 hour before the agreed start time.

Q. How long does it take to set up?
It can be done in 30 – 40 minutes. Please note that in certain venues where we are due to play in the same room as the meal has been served we cannot start until the tables have been cleared. If the meal is running late this would obviously have a knock-on effect. We will still finish at the agreed time.

Q. How long do you play for?
Typically 8pm – 12midnight .Other times can be negotiated.

Q. Do you offer a contracted service and how do we book you?
YES - Once you have agreed to book our band we send you ‘a letter of confirmation.’ On receipt of £50 non-refundable deposit (cheque payable to – BILLY MCISAAC) you will be sent a receipt for that amount. The balance is payable during the break on the night of the reception.

Q. Can we book you provisionally?
We are happy to take provisional bookings and take the pressure of you. If we have another enquiry for your date you will be given ‘first option.’

Q. How reliable are The Billy McIsaac Band?
The Billy McIsaac Band are one most established and respected bands in Scotland.
* It goes without saying that under no circumstances would we break our contract with you!
* We have 3 excellent female vocalists that we use in rotation. This means illness will not be a problem, we do have a back-up!
* We have public liability insurance and all of our equipment is PAT tested for safety.

Q. Do you have a sample CD?
Yes, we will gladly send you a copy of our free promotional CD.

Q. How far do you travel?
We tend to work mainly in the central belt of Scotland although we are prepared to travel further afield.

Q. How loud are you?
Great care is taken with sound volume - after all there is a lot of talking and listening to be done. In the unlikely event of the client telling us that we are still too loud, we will deal with it immediately.

Q. Do you have lights?
We have a Superb Lighting Show with special tasteful effects which transform hotel reception halls into a beautiful environment for your wedding evening.

Q. Can you play in venues which use a noise-limiter system?
Yes. Our line-up and PA allows us complete control over our volume level.

Q. How much room do you need?
We don't have masses of sound equipment taking up valuable dance floor space. We are extremely compact.

Q. How many weddings have you played?
The fact that we are a professional and highly recommended band that specialises in wedding entertainment means that over 14 years of playing together, we have played at literally hundreds of weddings.

Q. How long is your break and do you provide background music during this time?
Our break is no longer than 30 minutes and we’re happy to take our break at a time which suits both you and the venue to cater for the evening buffet. During our break we provide background music for your guests.

Q. Can we contact you anytime, will you reply promptly?
Yes, we will reply within 24 hours and are happy to answer any of your questions anytime. We would finalise all details one month before your wedding

Q. How does the band dress?
We have an extremely smart appearance wearing Black suits and white shirts. Our female vocalist is also dressed in an appropriate fashion.
